BIOGRAPHY - DR SIBIS MOUTON
Sibis Mouton won the World Iron(wo)man Championships for Veterans at the age of 44. She has represented South Africa on an international level in 3 different sports: Modern Pentahlon (horse jumping, fencing, shooting, swimming and cross country running), Triathlon (was captain of the elite National Springbok Team to World Champs in Manchester in 1993 at the age of 38) and Duathlon.
Sibis gained a Master's Degree in Inorganic Chemistry in 1979 and finished her Ph.D in the Didactics of Mathematics in 1995 through Stellenbosch University. She did various undergraduate and post graduate courses in Exercise Physiology at Michigan State in 1980 after winning a post graduate Rotary International Scholarship. Sibis taught Mathematics to grades 8-12 at one of Cape Town's best multicultured schools, Pinelands High Scool, for 18 years. She lectured Mathematics in the Civil Engineering Department and in the Extended Curricular Programme at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology for 11 years until the end of 2016. She is now retired and lives in Bredasdorp.
Being a adventurer at heart, she has travelled to over 50 international islands. Here she enjoys climbing live and/or extinct volcanos, to scuba dive or to simply chill out while basking in the lushness of tropical life. She also loves the French lifestyle and their spirit of joie de vivre. In 1998 she spent 3 wonderful months in Provence where she competed for the Tricastin Triathlon Club and learnt to appreciate the unhurried and close to earth existence there. Her favourite international competition is the Nice Ironman Triathlon. She has won this race twice in the veteran section (1998 & 2001).
A major turn around to follow a spiritual path started in 2000. Sibis was injured; could not run pain free and was unable to compete at her previous level. In January 2001 she was treated by kinesiologist Kevin Campbell who corrected the imbalance in her pelvis after 2 treatments. His analysis of underlying emotional issues present in her body's memory store, was so spot on that Sibis was filled with awe. She then attended a lecture at the Art of Living Festival in Cape Town by Sue Myers, a kinesiologist and spiritual healer from Florida in the U.S.A. in April 2001. She was so impressed with Sue's confidence on stage and her ability to instantly harmonise and balance an audience of 150 people that she set up a private appointment with Sue. This led to major breakthroughs in her relationship life and in her personal selfbelief system. She then attended the 3 day Discovery seminar facilitated by Sue in May 2001 in Cape Town where more life changing personal decisions were precipitated.
Seeing the tremendous beneficial effects that the kinesiology techniques had on other people and herself, Sibis decided to pursue a part time career in Behavioural and Nutritional Kinesiology. In January 2002, she took the Certification Course at Sue's Breakthru Institute in Cape Coral, Florida.
She also does one on one private sessions with clients - either a Nutritional ( 1.5 hrs) or a full integration ( 3.5 hrs). These sessions can clear negative cellular memories or underlying emotional issues to give peoples' lives new meaning and purpose.
